Ai No Kusabi Remake???

Really?? there's a remake for ai no kusabi?wow! that's great news! hope we'll get more information about it 7 out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

I read it on Aarinfantasy... apparently it's going to be a fully-fledged 13 episodes series! XD

I am extremely excited. Katsuhito Akiyama, who directed the original Ai no Kusabi OVAs, Appleseed: Ex Machina and Pumpkin Scissors (among other anime) will also be directing the new Ai no Kusabi. Rieko Yoshihara (the creator of Ai no Kusabi) will even be collaborating as a staff member for the screenplay (from what I understand, she was not part of the OVA staff for the original Ai no Kusabi). The fourth novel in the series installment will be coming out in March. For everyone who enjoyed the OVAs I suggest you read the novels because you really get to understand the characters on a much deeper level, and the operations run by Tangura. Some parts of the novel are different from the OVA however, such as how Iason and Riki meet, Katze’s deeper relationship with the pair, Kirie’s behind the scenes motives, ploys, and ambitions, and the institution called Guardian (the place in Ceres where everyone is raised until they are 13. It is also the place where Tangura buys its furniture). There are also other characters such as Mimea and Daryl who are only shown for a couple seconds in the OVAs, but play a larger part in the novels. If that’s not enough, there was an audio drama released called ‘Erogenous Dark’ which covers the three years that Riki spent with Iason as his pet, a time that was not really covered in the original OVAs or novels. So, in short, I am thrilled that there will be a 13 episode series, although I am a little worried that it will not be as graphic or as well developed as I hope. Well, there’s not much I can do about that but wish for the best. I can hardly wait! Do you find this valuable? |

quick correction: its the fifth novel volume that comes out in March, not the fourth

Though unfortunately, ANK wont be airing until this autumn, so we still have a quite a wait.

No, it won't be airing for a while, but Kelly Quine is an excellent translator if you read the novels, unlike others out there, so I encourage you to do so...it is worth your time.
